Reality:

38% of California's children will drop out of school prior to completing the 12th grade.

Solution
:
FIP is a dropout prevention prgram. It offers one-to-one tutoring that helps "at-risk" children build needed skills before it's too late. On average, reading increases 2.5 levels after 6 months and 3.5 levels after 1 year.
  • Open to Redwood City School District 1st through 8th grade students who have been identified as academically at-risk

  • Dropout prevention program

  • Afterschool, student-centered

  • Lessons and activities are oriented towards language enrichment
